Yes, we've started splashing the gifts and it's all to reward readers who took that all-important step to refer our website or specific web pages to their friends.
Though none has qualified for the special gift we promised (due at the count of the 50th unbounced referral) we have chosen to go ahead and offer some concrete 'progress' reward. Part of the reason is that we found that the special ebook promised as immediate reward for referrals didn't get delivered. The mail system failed to function, meaning that we didn't keep our promise. Now we're making up for that. Qualified members are getting the ebook and, in addition, gifts of call credit, tailored in value to the scope of referral each has done. The minimum, though, is N500 or the nearest denomination for the person's service provider. This choice of gift is influenced by the ease of delivery of recharge credit: we simply text the number to a beneficiary.
 Do You Qualify?
If you've made referrals, using our tell-a-friend form or the send-to-friend page, you are getting rewarded, provided you had referrals that didn't bounce.
Simply put, anybody who did any successful referral - yes, even just one - is being rewarded. Generous, you'll agree :) We also decided to close our eyes to some suspicious features of some referrals which didn't appear to have gone to third parties. Let everybody be happy, but going forward, such cases will be weeded out.
Will They Still Count for the Special Gift?
Yes, we are still counting, inclusive of referrals that are earning you the current gift. This is merely an interim award, just to show commitment, if you like putting it so. When you hit fifty (50) confirmed referrals, you will qualify for our special gift.

How Do You Claim if You Are on the List?
Simple: Send us an email with the same email you inputted to send referral(s). This confirms that you are the right beneficiary. State your GSM number in the email. We simply text your airtime gift to you.
